The daily walk of powerless religion has crept into our churches and seminaries until we have become comfortable in the despair…
 
Are You Comfortable Yet?
 
The scripture plainly tells us to seek all spiritual gifts.  A plain command. 
Yet, we have churches that are comfortable reading about the gifts, making them a good history lesson, and even taking time to explain why they are no longer for the church age today… are you comfortable yet?
 
We are also commanded to heal the sick.  A plain command yet again.
Yet, we have too many people that have become comfortable making a should be reality into another Sunday school lesson of history, or delegating the commandment to Jesus or the special “apostles” – and watching the world die – without healing.  Are you comfortable yet?
 
Cast out devils… Did I lose you yet?  We are told to cast out, cast out, cast out devils.  We are not told to counsel, medicate, or ignore the devils.  Yet, we have a body of believers that can tell about Jesus and even the disciples casting out a demon, yet they themselves truly doubt the reality of their existence. Meanwhile, we over-medicate, lock away, and deny those oppressed form the true delivering power they need.  Are you comfortable yet?
 
The Kingdom of God is at hand – it is available for us to pull into our existence the realities from Heaven!  We should be walking as a body in healing the sick, delivering the oppressed, and bringing every area of the Kingdom to the world.
 
This is my cry to you – seek more and receive all that you have been blessed with already! 
 
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,” - (Ephesians 1:3 ESV)
 
You have been (past tense) blessed – already done!  So why aren’t we walking in more of God’s promises?  Why are the sick dying prematurely, the churches going bankrupt, and believers falling as the tormentor destroy their hope, their marriages, and every area of their lives?
 
Comfortable people that have become comfortable with powerless religion! 
 
We are warned this would happen…
“having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”
(2 Timothy 3:5 ESV)  
 
Read the last three words slowly… Avoid such people.  Wow!  Are you comfortable yet? 
 
I urge you to stand up as a believer and walk in the expectation of the supernatural!  No more powerless religion based solely on morality and a set of rules.  No more cheap talk, cheap grace, and no more excuses for a lack of power!
 
This can be your year to experience more – it begins with you.  Are you ready for more?  Are you ready to experience all that God has for your life?

See the sick?  Pray for them. 
See the oppressed?  Cast out the demonic.
See the broken?  Love them.
 
It is not a complicated gospel.  It is simply one that we have become comfortable in being a history lesson and a moral lesson, instead of the powerful supernatural ministry it truly is for humanity!
